Future Developments

Park West is already an incredible place to live, and it will become even more so. Like a caterpillar wrapped in a cocoon, Park West is emerging as a graceful, beautiful butterfly.

Extension Of Bessemer And Joe Rouse Roads.

Extension of Bessemer Road to Joe Rouse Road and its realignment to Highway 41 are complete. Residents should know that Bessemer Road is the designated construction traffic route, which makes the communities on Bessemer Road inconvenienced the most. We will do everything we can to minimize disruption and safety hazards. Should anyone see an area where improvement can be made, please do not hesitate to let the Park West Property Manager know.

Residential Development

Residential construction in Pembroke, Masonborough, Tennyson Row, The Battery, and Kensington continues. Announcements are expected soon on:

1. Development of a new town-home neighborhood;
   
2. The planned construction start of Cambridge Square, Park West's Town Village, which will have both residential and commercial units; and
   
3. Park Island, a 30-acre island within the Park West planned development community, which is bordered by the Wando River to the north/northeast, Toomer Creek (a deep-water tidal creek) to the west/southwest and wildlife-filled salt-water marsh to the south.

Commercial Development

Commercial development of the Park West Business Center, the business entities of which are located along Park West Boulevard between the first and second roundabouts continues with a multi-purpose facility on Salterbeck Street by Baxely Development.

Commercial development has also started on the commercial property along the newly completed Bessemer Road in Park West. Uses extend from Flex Non-Residential Space (buildings utilized primarily for storage and warehouse purposes, which may or may not have showroom or display space, common areas and internal amenities), Office/Warehouse, Mini Storage, Convenience store with gas pumps and a Restaurant.
