Park West awarded the semi-annual Civic Pride Award for 2007!

Mount Pleasant, S.C.- The Mount Pleasant Pride Committee has chosen Park West Development, Inc. to receive the semi-annual Civic Pride Award for 2007. The pride committee is compromised of residents of Mount Pleasant who offer to serve and are selected from eligible candidates. The pride committee meets monthly to discuss opportunities for beautification of the town of Mount Pleasant.

Park West was awarded for making a significant contribution and effort towards the beautification of Mount Pleasant. This award goes beyond grass cutting and pruning for it includes the outstanding effort of Park West to maintain and landscape the property. “ We take great pride in the way Park West looks and the way our residents feel when they drive in the gate as well as anyone who drives by, we are very proud to have received this award!” said Michael Asnip, President of Park West Realty, noting that “while Park West Development can take credit for the vision and original installation of the entrance and other landscaping, the credit for the impeccable ongoing maintenance goes to Chris Turner and the rest of the landscaping staff of the Park West Master Association”.

Park West Announces First Annual Fall Tour of Homes- November 3, 4th

Mount Pleasant, South Carolina- On November 3 -4th Park West will hold its first annual fall tour of homes. The event is open to the public and will feature the entire Park West community to tour. The event begins at 12:00p.m.- 5:00p.m.Saturday, November 3rd and from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00p.m. Sunday, November 4th. There will be a reception to follow on Sunday at 6:00 p.m. at the Park West information center. Grand Opening of Park Island

May 24, 2007 Mount Pleasant, South Carolina

On May 24, 2007 Park West held a Grand Opening of it’s exclusive island; Park Island. The event was open to the public and featured trolley rides with guided tours of the island, entertainment and food and beverages. The event began at 5:00 p.m.- 7:00p.m.where trolley rides left from the Park West activity center.

Park Island is an exclusive gated community located within Park West on the Wando River in the East Cooper region of Mount Pleasant. Residents of Park Island will enjoy all of the amenities of Park West and are only within minutes of extensive retail and professional services. The island is connected to Park West by a 1440 –foot bridge. “This is a very special offering and we were thrilled to be able to showcase the island in such a nice way!” said, Jennifer Peak, Park West’s Marketing Director.

New Hospital Proposed near Park West

Subsequent to posting the attached article in the Charleston Regional Business Journal by Dennis Quick, Senior Staff Writer, The Post and Courier reported that this new hospital for Mt. Pleasant had been approved. More good news for Park West. The hospital's location is reported to be at the intersection of Highway 17 North and Faison Road in the Carolina Park Development.
